Downtown stakeholders are invited to join DECI and Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) for "The Future of Downtown," a public discussion event on February 10 at 12pm at Menomonie Market Co-op.
DECI is in the middle of a year-long application process to become a WEDC Main Street organization. DECI is excited to build a deeper relationship with WEDC and we're excited to leverage the deep knowledge and strategy that the folks and WEDC bring to move DECI's work into a new era that can best support downtown and our unique needs. Frankly, we know that downtown is changing and the scope of our collective work in the next 5-10 years must change to shift to preserve what we have built together as we see businesses struggle more than ever.
During the public discussion event on Feb. 10, WEDC will present on the value downtown brings to our community and the resources they bring to support all of us--DECI, downtown businesses, our local government, and other downtown stakeholders.
