Posted: September 27, 2016 Bon Iver’s New Album To Be Featured On Speakers In Downtown Eau Claire

Eau Claire, Wis. – Grammy Award winner Bon Iver’s newest album 22, A Million will be featured on the outdoor sound system in Downtown Eau Claire on the day of its release. The complete album will be played every two hours on Friday and Saturday beginning Friday, September 30th at 9:00 am. Downtown Eau Claire, Inc. has partnered with the South Barstow District and Bon Iver to play the much anticipated new release that premiered at Eaux Claires in August.

The initiative to play local music has been enthusiastically received by Downtown visitors. In addition to all day Friday and Saturday, the sounds of local artists can now be heard on Thursday evenings starting at 5:00 pm. Downtown Eau Claire invites the public to enjoy the music and visit the businesses of the South Barstow District.

Audio Architects installed the sound system after street construction in 2013. Andy Pierson of Audio Architects also assisted with the project and lent expertise. The South Barstow District purchased the sound system and generally has control over what music gets played.

Local musicians who are interested in having their music played Downtown can contact Paul Brandt at
