Virtual Program: "Our COVID-19 Story: Reflections on a Pandemic Year"

April 27th, 2021 | 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm | Held Virtually by the Chippewa Valley Museum | Location: Wisconsin

Using community submissions to the Chippewa Valley COVID-19 Digital Archive, Chippewa Valley Museum Archivist Jodi Kiffmeyer will share some of the everyday details of our lives that will tell our pandemic story to future generations. The presentation will include a tutorial on how to add your own memories to the archive. Pre-register through Zoom: https://tinyurl.com/cvm-COVID19

The COVID-19 Archive is a project initiated by the UW-Eau Claire Public History Program in collaboration with the archivists from both Chippewa Valley Museum and UW-Eau Claire. Chippewa Valley Museum’s role has been to recruit community contributions and other assistance in promotion of the archive project. Artifacts and oral histories contributed to the archive can be viewed in the digital site hosted by UW-Eau Claire (https://lib02.uwec.edu/Omeka/s/C19/page/welcome). The site includes a link where Chippewa Valley residents can contribute their photographs and files documenting life during the COVID-19 pandemic.
