Family Literacy Event

November 9th, 2019 | 620 W Clairemont AVE | Location: Eau Claire

November is Family Literacy Month, and what better way to celebrate than with an event?! The Second Annual Family Literacy Event is hosted by the CVTC Early Childhood program and Student Life Department. This FREE community wide activity is taking place on Saturday, November 9 from 9-11:00am at the Business Education Center (620 W. Clairemont Ave. Eau Claire, WI 54701). In keeping with our theme, we celebrate a different childhood author and their books. This year, we are excited to announce that we are highlighting Eric Carle. Many of you know Eric from books such as ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’, ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?’, ‘The Grouchy Ladybug’, and more!

The CVTC Early Childhood students are developing interactive literacy-based activities for children infant-eight years of age. The morning will also consist of book giveaways, story time, snacks, and local community resources that focus on the importance of literacy. If there are specific questions about the event, please email StudentLife@cvtc.edu or call (715)833-6288.
