The Wisconsin Science Festival brings you Kurt Jacobson, former pastor for 28 years at Trinity Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. In 2018 he was diagnosed with ALK positive stage IV lung cancer with brain involvement. He has benefited from a new, targeted therapy that has pushed his cancer into remission.

Kurt is an ordained minister of the ELCA. He holds a BA in Business/Hospital Administration and Organizational Communication from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, and a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. He also has a certificate in Intentional Interim Ministry from the National Association of Lutheran Interim Pastors. He is the author of two books: "Welcoming Grace: Words of Love For All", and "Living Hope: Messages of Faith". Today he offers consulting services to churches through his business, Mustard Seed Consulting, LLC, and enjoys living on lake in northwestern Wisconsin.
