Eau Claire's Summer Fest bringing family fun donwtown

This weekend is a celebration of all things summer in downtown Eau Claire.  From family fun, to a car show, to even a strongman competition, Summer Fest has something for everyone.

It kicks off Saturday on South Barstow Street form 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Burger King Classic Car Show, featuring around 45 classic cars, will kick off Summer Fest.  The show, in the parking lot across from the Children's Museum, will last until 3 p.m.

Food and craft vendors will be scattered throughout Summer Fest. The festival will also feature pony rides,a petting zoo, and tie dying- all taking place along Gibson Street.

Then head over to the Great Lawn of Phoenix Park for Family Night in the Park from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The park will be sprinkled with food, games, crafts, and inflatables.  Then at dusk, we pull out the giant inflatable screen!  This year Big Hero 6 will be playing! DRESS UP AS YOUR FAVORITE SUPERHERO and join in on some fun superhero activites.

From 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. will have children's activites, including inflatables, crafts, a photo booth, and more!

At dusk (approx. 8:30 p.m.) "Big Hero 6" will be playing on the inflatable screen!

Visitors to Summer Fest will enjoy a new event this year, Yoga on the Bridge.  From 11 a.m. to noon, yoga enthusiasts can get some relaxation and a free class on the Grand Avenue Footbridge.  Amy Erickson with Latitude 44 will be running the session.
