Tourism Secretary Presents Check for Book Festival

  The Chippewa Valley Book Festival has received a grant from the Department of Tourism.  Tourism Secretary Stephanie Klett was in Eau Claire Friday, July 8 to give a check to the Literary Arts Committee of the Eau Claire Regional Arts Council to promote the Chippewa Valley Book Festival that'll be held Oct. 18-23. The Festival features more than thirty authors with ties to the Midwest who go to area libraries, schools and other community locations to speak and sign their books. Ben Richgruber of the Eau Claire Regional Arts Council accepted the check at the Regional Arts Center.
