Thank You To All Our Volunteers!

Posted April 19th, 2012

It's National Volunteer Week and time to recognize our hundreds of volunteers who make our event s happen for the whole community to enjoy!

Our volunteers give up their Saturdays at our events like the Our City Spring Clean Up, the Urban Living Tour, Summer Fest, the International Fall Festival, and Christmastime in the City.

They:  feverishly sell tickets, move generators, facilitate vendors, sell soda, put up barricades and tents, watch over kids on rides, serve hot chocolate and cider, serve lunch to kids, give out prizes, answer questions of fest-goers, monitor parades, sweep sidewalks, plant flowers, paint benches and trash cans, pick up trash from riverbanks, assist in local non-profits with organizing and painting, and so much more.

We can't thank you enough for all you do.  We value the time and energy you give to us.

Pleas feel free to join us for free appetizers in the back room of houligans Steak and Seafood Pub from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, April 19th.

Celebrate National Volunteer Week!

"Volunteers are not paid -- not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless."
