Volunteer for International Fall Festival

Posted August 28th, 2014

Join us Downtown as we celebrate the International Fall Festival! DECI's 2014 International Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20 on South Barstow Street.

All the fun begins at 11am!

Purchase beautiful crafts and look over exotic apparel all day.  Pick up some handmade bags or aprons from Tanzania for gifts.  Bring home some Hmong needlework or jewelry from India.  Savor foods from around the globe!  Egg rolls and chicken fried rice will be dished up for you to enjoy.  Gyros are always a hit!  Native American fry bread will tantalize your taste buds.  Take home a jar of salsa!  There will also be American classics!

Throughout the day you'll enjoy wonderful entertainment as groups give street performances!  And don't miss out on the highlight of the festival, the RCU parade at 3pm on Barstow Street!  This year, the parade will celebrate Eau Claire's recent All-America City honor.  The parade will be patriotic and celebratory themed!  The Blugold Marching Band will perform after the parade in the parking lot across from the Children's Museum!  Families will have to stop at the Xcel Energy Family Fun Zone for a pony ride and to visit the animals at the petting zoo!

We can't do this without help!  We need volunteers!  Please take a few hours and be a part of this fun festival.  We can't put this on for the community without you!  There are many volunteer positions available.
