The Eau Claire Children’s Theatre will open its 24th season with the Chippewa Valley premiere of LEGALLY BLONDE August 9-12, at the State Theatre in downtown Eau Claire.
Sorority star Elle Woods doesn’t take “no” for an answer. So when her boyfriend dumps her for someone “serious,” Elle hits the books and sets out to go where no Delta Nu has gone before: Harvard Law. Along the way, Elle proves that being true to yourself never goes out of style. This new musical is based on the popular movie, “Legally Blonde,” starring Reese Witherspoon and Luke Wilson.
Performances are scheduled for Thursday, August 9 – Saturday, August 11, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, August 11 - Sunday, August 12, at 1:30 p.m. Reserved seating tickets are $20 for adults, $16 for seniors, $12 for students, and $8 for youth ages 12 and under. LEGALLY BLONDE is sponsored in part by Charter Communications, Eau Claire Regional Arts Center, and Maverick Media.
Theatre-goers can add to their experience by joining Elle Woods and the girls of Delta Nu at a Flapjack Fundraiser on Saturday, August 11, from 8-10 a.m., at Applebees, 4745 Golf Road, Eau Claire. Tickets are $5.00 per person and are available at ECCT’s offices, at all performances of ECCT’s summer shows, and at the door on the day of the event.
