Between 250-300 volunteers will be converging on Downtown this Saturday for some spring cleaning! The Our City Spring Clean-Up, hosted by Downtown Eau Claire, Inc. and Valleybrook Church, will be held.
Volunteers will work on more than 30 projects in all of the downtown districts: North and South Barstow, Water Street, and West Grand Avenue areas. They will be doing trash pick-up along the river, sweeping sidewalks, alley clean-up, fixing up planting areas on S. Barstow Street, clean-up of the Transfer Station, landscaping in the West Grand area around a new welcome sign, work at the Forest Street Community Garden, S bridge and Grand Avenue bridge clean-up, painting on Dewey Street amenities, and planting in flower beds on Graham Avenue, Grand Avenue, and off Main Street. Volunteers will also be helping with projects in some non-profit organizations: Big Brothers Big Sisters, L.E. Phillips Senior Center, Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild, and Inn Town Hotel.
Volunteers will get treated to a thank you lunch after the Clean-Up!
