Goal: Encourage Urban Living
Tasks:
- Identify potential loft spaces (including office space)
- Assessing building potential (Design and code)
- Assist in Finding Funding Sources
- Promotion with Virtual tours online and Urban Living Tour
Committee Mission
The Urban Living Committee's main goal is to unite property owners, builders, and interior designers to foster the renovation of upper floors downtown into stylish urban lofts and encourage people to live downtown, provide accessible information for potential tenants and promote creation of new apartments in the downtown area.
Committee Success
Recently this committee has completed a survey of all available living space downtown click here to view available apartments. The push for loft living is creating a lot of attention in the media. A video has been created to promote downtown living - you can view it on our Live Downtown page
Urban Living Tour
DECI is looking forward to our Urban Living Tour 2013! During past events, over 1,000 people explored apartments in different downtown buildings that were showcased. The overwhelming community response to our tours made the event an amazing success! And we can't wait to do it again!
